Our Brief History
Diamond Flat Roofing began as a true family-run business built on hard work, skill, and determination. Founder Aly learned his trade from the ground up, developing specialist knowledge through real-world experience rather than shortcuts.
In 1999, Aly started as a sweep at a local boat-building company. He quickly earned the opportunity to train as a laminator, mastering fibreglass processes including mould and tool making, injection moulding, wet lay, and spray lay techniques.
Industry Experience
Eight years later, Aly progressed to Unit Leader at another local manufacturer, running the fibreglass shop and producing high-profile projects. His work included the London Eye pods, fairground rides for major theme parks, race trailers, pickup tops, and a well-known kit car.
It was during this time that Diamond Fibreglass was formed. Working evenings and weekends, Aly produced pop tops for camper vans, beach buggies, and eventually his first fibreglass flat roof — completed in 2011.
Growth & Commitment
In 2013, Aly made the leap into full-time self-employment. Since then, Diamond Fibreglass has grown into a respected roofing contractor with a skilled, hardworking team and strong support behind the scenes — with Aly still leading from the front.
Based in Stourbridge, the company has built an excellent reputation for quality flat roofing and regularly showcases at home building and renovation exhibitions.
